Welcome to my website!
I am a PhD candidate in Economics at the University of Oxford.
My research interests lie in the areas of development, migration, and labour economics.
I study how factors like mental health, access to formal documentation, and effective humanitarian aid programmes, shape economic outcomes of displaced populations. In my projects, I implement field experiments and primary data collections in partnership with government and UN agencies. I predominantly work in East Africa.
At Oxford, I am affiliated with the Centre for the Study of African Economies, the Oxford Digital Public Infrastructure Research Lab, and the Blavatnik School of Government, as well as a Clarendon Scholar.
Prior to the PhD, I worked at the World Bank in Nairobi and at the Oxford Refugee Studies Centre. I hold an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford and a BSc in Economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany.
